Flat bed trucks deliver bundles of emergency burlap bags
preparing for the onslaught of the mighty storm,
the volunteers grabbed their shovels like weapons of war
hurriedly digging and filling up those sandbags with red tags.
.
Hoisting  and piling up sand bags into great walls , desperately working
to barricade the vulnerable town from the flash floods to come.
I could see in their faces the anguish and agony ,while dark clouds
hung overhead, fore warning of its destruction ahead, hands sore and raw
they worked on relentlessly in sand and mud to stop the flood.

The storm rapidly approaches with stronger winds, the river begins to rise
people desperate and in despair, begin to yell out loud, scornfully attacking mother nature.
She punishes with a thunderous voice and pellets them with a hard cold rain,
and a bolt of lightning, striking the flat bed down in flames, to end her claims.

Nature. Untamed when it wanted to be.

Doesn't take long for the powerful forces of nature to shut down man's too easy world.

Great vivid images in this.

ur poem has expressed it wonderfully... i luvd it...

Heaven is not that place where you go when you die... it's that time in your life when you actually feel ALIVE!!!
