Branches iced by rain
Cry for muted warmth of spring
And rain drops that drip

Hah! It's mighty early in the seasons to start wishing that. On the other hand, why not?

Good to read your poem again Alison, this one is very cold and composed one. Fine writing.

After a rainy spell the sun is shining here though the nights are a bit cold. You have such a wonderful way of setting the scene, Alison that your very words make me shiver.

Such perfect empathy between you and the branches, dear Alison. A true little gem, sparkling from tears.

Love,

Personifing branches and making a person care about them is so easy feat.  But you pulled it off.

Thank you.  Thank you.  I read something Balladeer wrote about haiku and wanted to try giving an object emotion and show contrast. I hope I did that.  Anyway, I appreicate all of you and send my love.

Merry Christmas.
