Lit by a row
Of old street lamps

Casting a blanket
On another year
Pulling a cover
Over its head

nice imagery from all stanzas...second stanza:

"Snow falls [drifts?]

reminiscent of Simic's "return to a place lit by a glass of milk"

very evocative..resonates...
