year 1882, The Kansas city stage coach is due in at 3 sharp,10 minutes late,
old Bill Cavendish employeed with the stage since it started, don't know the date,
but he worked his way up to station master, he sure is proud of that name plate,
screwed on the front door. checks his gold pocket watch, bought by troy weight,
yep now the stage is forty eight minutes late.

old Bill slams the whiskey bottle down, heard clear cross town, gathering up a big crowd,
the towns people the saloon keeper the blacksmith even the barber, they all gather around,
out comes Marshall Matt Chillin, packing his colt 45 long barrel, with an ivory handle, chewing tobacco,
wearing big silver spurs on his boots, that spins and rings with every step . They say he rode,
with buffalo Bill, saddle to saddle rounding up the cattle and shooting the bulls, back in the day when the buffalo were cornered and slaughtered across the great plains,
his name is marshal Matt Chillin.
