Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Clear the Christmas
commercial clutter
that would have us
buy, buy, buy
just because it is expected.

Too often, too many givings
are given without thought
deeper than a generic that will do
and check another name off the list.

And the gift of giving is lost on those
whose busy burdens steal their time
to contemplate their own true heart’s desire
to give what is really wanted…

Caressing each one
with singular thought
blessing their
Holiday hearts
with warmth and cheer

Ab-so-lutely! I concur one hundred and one percent, LGR. These days it isn't Christmas which is important, in fact they downplay that word, but it is how much it "helps the economy." Sad.

I agree, true caring is the greatest gift we can give.

Love your Christmas ponderings.

I remember Christmas when it was "hands on" and never required dusting...only napkins.

Or! It was all about necessity wrapped pretty!

Such truth. Too often, adults replace love with such useless trinkets. Enjoyed.
