The Price Of A Moment

For the price of a moment,
I would risk everything.
To hold such a divine vision,
Often would I lie.
I would give up my very sanity,
For surely it is insane.

For one heart stopping, beautiful night,
One timeless, breathless instant,
To surrender to the aching, overpowering
Need to hold your tear streaked face in my hands
And slowly stroke our problems away.

Oh but to steal,
Just one precious breath with you,
One moment to gaze into your dark eyes
And find my long lost dreams
Waiting there for me.
