Its Christmas time
Tree lights glitter through
my unshed tears
...as I think of you

Here's our first ornament
the one we searched for
that perfect first Christmas

Here's the boys' first ornaments
how happy we were the day
they were born
better than any gift we could buy

A tear slips down my cheek
for each ornament I place
on this tree
tinsel tears flowing down

Memories...joys...heartaches

Sparkling bright

They dont make an ornament for this
for the pain, the heartache...
my first Christmas without you.

Oh so very poignant... I was moved, by this... if it's about yourself then hugs to you, may better times be ahead

my best~

These are the sad days, and although they are sad we are resilient and capable of getting through it. Nice work even if the subject was sad.

You set the mood perfectly in this piece Paula.
It's the blues that come around and sometimes writing about it delivers a bonding factor to the readers.
In a strange way such beauty from the dark side.

This is very intense and it hurts, dear Paula.

Christmas is a day of memories and melancholy comes in power waves.

Love and hugs.

Sad, but well written and expressed. I'm sure many feel the same. Peace to you.

Fine writing, Paula. Very touchy sentiments, gently expressed.

Reminds me of a Christmas past that wasn't so good...but after a worst Christmas they can only get better...in my worst times I always found that there was one special friend that was there for me....James
