across to Levis,
I just remember her and I
on the ferry bright
beyond my broken French and her broken English,
a statuesque glimmer shone
from each word we exchanged--
each one announcing our nuptials, then and there
and thus, now, much older,
I reflect on these bright stories--
many sizzling with every affirmation
known to corporeal twists and yearns--
but, this moment,
only Helene, I sing
who so innocently approached me
on a ferry to Levis,
to forever remain

Memories. They lurk in the shadows of the mind and give up pleasure throughout our lives. Liked this one, Spiros.

and hear the whispers...

As a fellow poet and Canuck I have to say I'm glad that you shared such fine experiences with Helene. Too bad things have to end with time but those memories are forever.
