Authors Note: It has been called to my attention that I post a lot of sad or pensive poems. The reason for that is because I write mostly sad and pensive poems. I have others though . . .

I believe in fairy tales,
Its better than eating snails
I take it back, I take it back
Escargots' give my lips a smack!

JerryPat,
No apologies for what you write. The same has happened to me. I was writing a lot of goofy stuff until my daughter died. Then I had more important things to write about. But levity is still in order. I enjoyed this write as it put a smile on my face as soon as I stopped gagging. Sorry, it was the escargot. LOL

I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Really? Sad and pensive... I never noticed. But then, I try not to pay attention to such things. Style and substance of the individual piece is more my thing... and you've got plenty of both. So, keep 'em coming. Oh, as for the snails... if they're still smacking you around, might I suggest some hot butter. They always seem to quiet down a bit after a long hot butter bath.

Ah, that's what I was doing wrong, Larry, that hot, bubbling butter bath. Gotcha.

My penny's worth is not to take notice of what anybody else says but as for the snails - yuk! You can give those to to them even if they are smothered a garlic.

I enjoy your writes - and you can take notice of that if you like.

How odd that anyone would make such a comment. Someone pointed out to me a long time ago, that poets lean toward a certain kind of poetry, both writing and replying to others.  I for one have worked the seaside metaphor to death, and will probably continue to do so...I can't help myself.

It is my inspiration and my muse, it's where I grew up, and where I'm growing older...it's my kind of place and my kind of poetry.

Keep on writing JP, you do good and it's really nice having you here.

Aw, you know, maybe I am a bit sensitive about certain things, Blue. Then again, maybe not. All I know is I write what strikes me and my life, like your seaside, is what I know. If I've walked the mean streets for more years than I like to admit I came away from them with a better understanding of how human beings react to things that some of the most learned professors.

Anyway, it ain't no big deal, Lucille. Haha You are nice to come to my defense, thank you.

Please write what ever moves you.  As for me, I think that I should be accused of being stylishly inconsistent.  Pop stars are dropped from record companies for doing that! ----  This poem left me with a smile.  Thank you.
