I found religion within hypocrites
but I learned faith with God
and now I value truth
not just words

I found indifference within lovers
but I learned devotion with friends
and now I value actions
not just declarations

I found that things aren't always as the seem
but I learned to look more closely
and now I trust my heart
not just my eyes

Wonderful advice for all of us, Morning Star. Some live their whole lives and not understand these simple things.

There is a typo in the firs line of the last verse.

. . . and the Raven said, %!~#&(&#!$!

Thank you JerryPat for both the comments and the spellcheck.

I talk to fast sometimes too - so typos are like part of my speech patterns

Not all things are what they seem. I love the truth in this. Enjoyed.
