Layers
Soft and warm
As winter fur undercoat
Gentle as down
Open as a prairie skyline
Tender as new shoots in spring
Loving as young unweaned
Some layers
Dark as a new moon night
Cold as mountain streams
Stubborn as stone
Other layers
Caring as a mother hen
Daring as a deer on the road
Some
Coarse as bark
Smooth as sand
Slick as ice
Still others
Dragonfly wing fragile
Hidden as cat claws
Afraid as prey pursued
Fault lines
Jaded and jealous
Selfish and vain
Ego and shame
Shifting and twisting
And yet
Still be one
Layer left
Colorful as all things
Reflective
Painted by the sun

Beautiful caleidoscopic layers that give the whole a harmonious aspect of our being.

Very smart and reflective of your sensitivity.

Love,
Margherita

Layers. Ah, yes we have layers. Uncover them at your own risk.

Margherita-Thank you so much for your generous and kind words

Jerry-all this writing is a form of escavating and we uncover and reveal things all the time...Inadvertently or on purpose. Did I reveal too much here or not enough?
