Why do I keep it
draped in dust and time
hung in empty folds
in the dark reaches
of my cluttered closet

once it was a scarlet
weapon of mass destruction
silken, laced at the narrow waist
and red, red, red

now a shell of fabric, only
harmless, quiet
but

it heats the corners
where  cobwebs
dare to sleep

that my hand may brush
it`s dormant  pulse
when searching for a knit
or woolen tweed

Man, few people have the ability to touch the heartstrings in the way you do with such simplicity. You have my total admiration, miss..

Whew it's a good thing George W is gone. I'd hate to hear of you writing your memoirs in crowbar hotel somewhere.

Actually, all joking aside, that verse
is reflective but oh so passionate and it really struck me. All very good!

Ah, the "enticing" dress. What power it has. Enjoyed.

I sure relate!

I threw mine away long ago, but I'm married now so I guess it just doesn't matter.

...but ah, the beauty of youth, huh?

This is what is called milking it for all its worth, and believe me it's worth much. Constructive criticism? I have something. Keep writing in such a deep and warm manner.
