Out of Reach

Even though I broke-up with her
I wondered if there was
a soft place in her heart for me,
so I decided to approach her again
to see if she would reconsider
to be my friend.
I called her
and left a message,
three days later
she returned my call,
her mood composed
and not eager at all,
still politely she returned my call.
So we talked for a few moments
and I told her I was "thinking of her"
and I mentioned how much I enjoyed
our last visit to the beach
and she kind of laughed
like she was out of reach.

Out of reach eh? Perhaps if you moved closer?   Enjoyed.
I noticed the "Vote" there, I already have

Can't like it when that happens but you put it down so well in words....The mood is just right.
