A Seed of Hope

I've had the time to notice things
that sometimes can't be seen
Reaching depths of spoken words
Find meanings to extremes

I dare not hope too much for things
that aren't within my reach
These warnings come from deep within
"Be still and let life teach"

The apple far on top the tree
Is full and brilliant red
Yet easy there is fruit for me
Within my grasp, instead

Yet try I will, in spite of fear
Hope held by mere a thread
If I don't dream of she and me
Excitement turns to dread

The unborn chick is hatching now
With hope of more and greater dreams
I think it could, I hope it would
Be possible, it seems...
