         Hallows' Eve
  (Dreams and Regrets)

the curtain falls on …

places I’ll never see
things I’ll never be
loves that went astray
things I didn’t say
songs I’ve never sung
things I’ve never done
doors and paths not taken
hopes and dreams mistaken
fine poems I’ll never write
just battles I’ll never fight

… on falls the curtain

the opposite is true as well...
all the things you've been
all the things you've seen
all the poems you've written
and all the songs you've sung

enjoyed your offering sir..understand it completely and have often felt the same

I hate the thought of so many regrets! Life is too short and we should look forward not backwards!

A wonderful bit of writing!
