A pilgrim, I, did seek the truth
within another land.
A gardener shared his fruits with me
that I might understand
that rooted in simplicity
complexity oft' grows.
To orchestrate a puppets' dance
is tempting fate, I know.
The wisemen note the passing hour,
the lonely widows mourn.
The Yellow Jester joins the choir
and sings a song forlorn.
I've played the Purple Pipers' tune,
done Pattern Jugglers' deeds,
I've summoned up the Firewitch,
and watched the Black Queen bleed.
All this , and much, much more, I fear
the truth's a funny thing,
your life is never quite the same
once you've been Crimson Kinged

A good and "easy" tribute, both to the band and to those who would seek truth. A good read.

Okay... now I've got to go break out my old LPs and spin some discs. Yep, I still got a functional turn table. A sweet read here Doc.

That is very interesting, and I liked it`s rhythm.

. . . and it all made perfectly good sense to me . . . Love the twanging of common sense.

easy1,
Thanks for the R&R, glad you liked.
Doc

Andrew,
Spin on ol' buddy, I've still got one too, but I'm more of a "Pandora" guy theses days.
Doc

Sunshine,
Lol, I seriously doubt that.
Doc

Winter,
Thank you, the rythm is derived from it's ballad form as was the original piece by  the band "King Crimson".
Doc

JerryPat,
Lol, now that's kind of scary, to think I mught be making sense to anyone.
Doc

Earl Brinkman,
Thank you. The concept of this was to take all the characters from the original piece
and integrate them into the story to see how it would play out if I were to interact with them. Judging from the responses, it didn't work out too bad, lol.
Doc

Nan,
Thank you so much. I've kinda been flying under the radar here (as usual). Hope all is well .
Doc

Eusta B. Mae,
Love that moniker, so glad you enjoyed.
