.

It’s dark clouds
Stark October
The storms are early
For this time of year

This cruel wind seems
All in a rage to rip
Last colors from the branches
Cold rain pours down
On any threatened suggestion
Of possibly better frames of mind

High waves
Fiercely lash the shore
Demanding penance
It’s a now world for harsh words
Hindsight condemnation
Contempt ridicule and scorn

And for nothing—
None of it matters
Never these words
Excoriating attitudes
It never has before

Whatever the whether
However whenever another
After all is finally once again
Said and done

You’re still
The only woman
I ever told I love
In my dreams

very nicely done sir...

confessions of the heart are often like the storms, they rage and bring change even if others never see the differences.

"High waves
Fiercely lash the shore

I love this bit. For me it stood out the most - waves lashing the shore which was not at fault. Just like rejection of the heart. Enjoyed this.

Thank you both for reading

The above was very much a Walking With Harvey poem:

Harvey

I have a good friend
who thinks
you’re stupid

that any woman
who believes
in the things you do
is void of reason
or simply just not there

Sometimes
I can feel him
roll his eyes
He notes you’re rather wide

He wonders
why I waste my time

We argue
every day

We still do occasionally . . .

Thanks again

John

John,

Harvey had his moment...and he will continue
to do so.

However, my friend, I did watch the weather's news...

and you've been given an early winter's start. Stay warm.

Oh yes...good stuff here. But I have come to expect only that.
