What fool in a right mind
would stay up into the wee hours
looking at a keyboard for words
only to find it has no powers,

no prefect timing or rhyming,
no method of describing
the emotions that go unwritten,
to merely send me writhing

in a wet, black, bitter pain
that sticks to my heart and soul
freezing my gaze so deep,
like quicksand that engulfs me whole

but never lets me sleep.

Sometimes our minds wont allow us to do the things we want, but in writing this you dominated your own mind and came up with something unique...thank you for posting it..i enjoyed reading it as i do all of your poems..
