Would that I could be a woodland nymph
Dressed in the river's misted moon glow
Would that one be there lost in shadowed thought
That I might charm a heavy heart into lightness
Filling your textures and your touch
May that I be that magic upon your mind
That you feel your soul at river's edge
Smiling at the moon

Nicely composed. Sometimes the Moon is the only visible smiling companion.

Well, you've woven the river into this..which of course appeals to me, since the river seems to speak to me in my own scribbles quite often..

I'm traveling this week, and am in Memphis, next to the Big Muddy... who sings her own kind of songs..
enjoyed this ma'am...
