Driftwood gave way under the attention
Knowing this too
Wouldn't last
Feeling so good was an act of submission

As he worked his way under what was left of her bark
Her resolve
Turned to pulp
Blinded by his lighting she got lost in his dark

When he put on the oil to bring out her sheen
She swayed
Like wind through her willows
When she was tall and beautiful and very, very green

I like what you've done here.. the wouldn't last, the very very green, indicating the somewhat doubtful outcome in Driftwoods mind and the learned experience....

I am a fan of the series...and am enjoying to look in to see where it goes next.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.. looks like a lot of pieces aren't getting many comments... and  I do enjoy the series...

The last gasp of Driftwood is is majestic thoughts of when and then . . . Superb writing . . . I can see this illustrated on the opposite page of the poem, and no, Cpat is not the only fan left as you can plainly see.
