Listening to every heart

0 posted 2010-10-12 11:43 PM

Shadowland

He calls to only me
so quietly
so soft

come

and I ache with aches
indescribable,

the pain so freshly wrought.

He cries out to me,
beseeching,
so quietly,

come to me

In shadows he stands,
I reach and fail to reach
and shed silent tears,

weeping only he hears

come to me, my love

and would I do anything
give anything
lose everything to once again

go to him

come to me

Yes I would, I would
sacrifice all
to once again
lay in his arms

hear his heart beat

touch warm skin

come

O, my love…

"and would I do anything

this is what I'm taking away. Thanks for baring your beautiful heart.

I see the romantic is showing....

(chuckling) certainly nothing wrong with that....

shadowland can get to you if you aren't careful...

Loved this one...one of the best of yours I've read...last line though rang sort of "flat"...didn't fit the 'flow', although the premise did...maybe something like

come

O, my love . . .

come to me

...anyway, we all "hear" differently...loved this for sure...as usual....

New grief conjures memories of loss from long ago
And not so long ago  It comes to us all does it not

I am saddened to read of the loss of your friend

This journey   grief leavened with joy
One has no meaning without the other

Or so we’re told

It seems to me that you and I
At least for the right here and our right now
could   might
Do with a little less grief

May the sun and wind always be at your back
The Wind to fill your sails
The Sun to light your way

An emotional piece that can not fail to touch the reader. In some ways sad, in others romantic. I bow to you and yours.
