precious dreams
of love and purpose
like summer clouds
  floating free,
forever untouchable,
glimpsed in a moment
through barred windows
from dungeon rooms
of a wasted life.

While I may not have been crazy about the opening lines I found the poem engaging, It finished on a strong note.
