Chrysanthemum chords sung russet as in quietude
Bare shouldered whip-o-will hides among tall plumes now white
Safe away
Night settles slowly to quilt the hills in patch worked light
That follows contours of her song
o-will, o-will
Beginning stars blink shyly along indigo edges of night’s dress
As trumpet vine plays low slow harmony of Lullaby
In resonance against the eye

And I think
O-will, o-will
the lullaby is hymn

Slow answered thrum of locus sung reverently to distant oak
By fern tipped rustle of wind
And with bowed heads, late blooming rose fingers beads
With slight click along the string of stem
For all the prayers within are but forgotten dreams
Carried away by winds that comes now starved and thin
From places north of summer’s plenty

O-will, o-will
and I am moved within to drift on smoldering remnants
of cedar once ocher now but scent upon the thin air
Reminding how warmth of hand on skin
Trills along soft hair as counterpoint to the rhythm
Of heartbeats counted as chorus to her song
And the scent of lavender is found on sheets she warmed

O-will~~
      her lullaby is sung
And I come always
                           Undone

It's about the rustle of wind that spoke to me here.

It's awful pretty what you wrote, Cpat.
