So dreams are aster and astilbe
Laced to ladyslipper  lain on steep indigo slopes
Of round vowels covering the freckled moon
And I am causal in the way clavicle holds pantomime shadows
Upon the walls at 3 AM as curtain lace adapts to Autumn's
Long black lily hours to hang while ignored eyes forget homage
Paid to summer’s morning
And the way she moved with the tatted light
To entice lavender and sandalwood to mix their scents
Upon crisp sheets not yet spoiled by humid day

Such profane wind has bound cords into knots
And I can not draw the curtains closed
To hide from glance of passing fog or the stare of burning leaves
That left angular script upon the pages
Printed with slow hand and pen as I pulled petals
From the bloom asking again
And again
     “she loves me?”
She loves knotted skein and the tangled juxtapose of REM
On tender skin
Such this bouquet of night finds senses fallow field
That grows wild aster along the edge
Yet in the shade lady slipper finds room to bloom
Delicately where once there was but stone
So dreams are the stems lashed upon words unformed
And the passing clutter of pillowed thoughts
Shatter shackled poem scribed upon the floor
Leaving late metered rose to mourn the passing warmth
That came as thought of her worn on window pane

Before
    The rain

I love the words and images that they create within me.  I love the scent of your poetry and the way it flits across my lips as I whisper read it out loud.

I'm honored Ma'am... that there is anything in the scribbles I post that would please you...  I consider it high praise indeed...

Thanks Ms Belle...
I'm not surprised those lines are the ones you picked to quote... since the underly of so many of your own reflect back to similar...

your eyes and words are always appreciated ma'am...
