The curtain rises,
your audience awaits.
...Start dancing.

Opening night,
you are the star.
...Keep dancing.

The crowd is enthralled,
applause, applause!
...Keep dancing.

Take your final bow,
collect your flowers.
...The dance has ended.

one can take this so many ways...which to me makes for very good poetry, letting the reader take from it what they will..

enjoyed ma'am..

Ok I'm reminded of an article I read on aging gracefully (of course).

She starts out saying that in her thirties she was still a rose in bloom.  (awww yes)
Kind of like the Dance, even when the audience has gone home, it began with
outer beauty and ends with a rare inner beauty that makes it all worthwhile.

Nice one, Ida~

Ida - The dance may have ended but the flowers will linger longer.  I surely do miss my dancing years.

The pinnacle of joy, when we have given it all we could ...

Impossible to stop dancing ... I believe. Till our last breath!

Love this very much, dear Ida.

Love,
Margherita
