There is a pit in your stomach
Threatening to eat you alive
From the inside out
Little fingers
Tiny claws
Driving you deeper
There are no monsters
No creeping in the night
Those claws are yours
And yours alone

Can you dig deep enough
To find what is salvageable
What is not coated with rage
Hatred
Can you find your spark again
That flame that kept you alight

Dig deeper
You can feel it
Behind those choked words
Clenched teeth
Behind steel and stoneĀ
The broken home you've made for yourself
Burning, burning
Ashes and embersĀ
Be the Phoenix you always wanted to be
Rise above
and be reborn
Or let the flames consume you

I'm a little rusty, I know, but somethings just need to get let out.

learning to face our fears and move on is a universal thing we all have to deal with in different degrees... some fears are our own making, some fears come from outside threats...

you may be "rusty" but then eagin... the best way to remove rust is to use the tool..

enjoyed your offering
