I am from prairies, otherwise known as plains.
Where cattle roam free, beside horses'
reins.I am from where the oil is drilled.
Where after rain storms, the creek beds
become filled.

I am from dark, and ever still nights.
With clear star filled skies, away from bright lights.
I am from near where the animals den.
A place of birds, squirrels, and beavers,
and a deer now, and then.

I am from summer time neighborhood celebration.
With the heat, and the fireworks, and
those proud of their nation. I'm from
little league baseball, and Elk's club
swimming pools. Where hard working people
are adept using tools.

A place where the fireflies are caught,
then let go. Where the winter time ice storms,
are followed by snow.I am from where
the bison still roam. The place of my birth,
that I once called my home.

I love this nostalgic place you are from, Novus. It's time for us all to get back to that place.
