She stood around the barracks of Ireland.
Her hair pinned back like the small rivers running along the channels of her back home.
The thin wind air softly holding the fogs hand
Much the way she did with her small brother at her side.
His grey khaki pants slightly too baggy for his waist to hold up,
As he stood with his shoulders shrugged around her warm shoulder.

They stood around the barracks.
His small chest breathing in the seaside waves,
Breathing in the fall of a land where the grey meets the morning and the pubs still sweep the floors from the night before.

Thereƕs a warm certainty about the land,
About the way you get older but never forget the forest green hills, or the laughter that transcends the night.
The land never forgets their families beautiful red cabin.
The beautiful moment of the the laughter of her father; more than just a passing moment, but a picture of her childhood.
A moment where she and her brother were like two pillars of the earth, standing side by side, their bodies firmly planted within the ground, and the spirit of the wind, like the taverns and forests of the land, slowly grew old with them.

I have never been to Ireland but still I somehow feel feel a strong attachment for the country that this poem brought forth in my mind. Enjoyed.
