A probing proboscis of the cold wet variety
Interrupting my willow tree reverie
With an inquisitioning nudge to my unsuspecting fanny…
While he indulged his curiosity
As if I were a stranger or an oddity
It somehow piqued my creativity
As I marveled at this mystery
Of how his nose can tell the story
Of where I’ve been and my day’s activity
And that’s what inspired me
To write this silly bit of poetry…
I hope that you will also see
Sometimes not surprisingly
How a simple nudge in the old hiney
Can be a source of productivity…
Please accept my humble apology
For my rhyming absurdity
For which I seem to have a propensity
Or disability
Depending on your objectivity
To my idea of hilarity
