I knocked on Mrs. Toerag's door, my hat held in my hand.
While waiting, I rehearsed the words to say that I had planned.
It wouldn't be an easy thing but Toe had been my friend
And it was only fitting that I be there in the end.

"Well, hello, deer", she smiled at me. "I thought that you were Toe,"
"Is everything alright?" she said. I sadly whispered "no".
"I'm afraid there was a mishap at the brewery", I said,
"And I am here to tell you your belov'd Toerag is dead."

"Oh, no!" she cried. "How did it happen? How did Toerag die?"
"How can I live without him? He's the apple of my eye!"
"He fell into a vat of Bud while acting like a clown"
"Before the workers could react, your loving husband drowned."

"That poor fool!", cried Mizz Toerag. "He was dumber than a stick!".
"I hope he didn't suffer. Let me know that he died quick."
"Afraid not, ma'am", I shook my head and said, regretfully.
"He would have died much faster but climbed out three times to pee!"

I'm shaking my head, too...
for whatever will we do
with no more Toe to gaff
or you, our impish Balladeer,
to make us pipsters laugh?

Smiling...and knowing that Toe will most
likely continue to BUG you, is my only
hope, and best wishes for the both of you.

Very funny, even if it makes being on the wagon a tiny bit more, um, dry feeling.

Glad I did a search to see if you had been writing something funny lately, because I started to miss your nagging wits.

And here I found this jewel (sorry Toe) which will make me laugh all night.
Thanks pal for lighten up my night with your special humor.

By the way, I like your new look, that's how I remember you, a big smile and twinkling eyes.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow
