as a leaf of hevea with indistinct confessions

Nights here are not made to sleep,
Shared stories, musics and sweats,
The pearls of the desire are hung on on walls.

In the low city boats carried
The nubile stomachs of the black slaves,
Sealed lips by sobs of ivory.

I have only my hands to dance with you
With my solitude in the blue necklaces of the half-bloods
Throwing their smiles in the antique twilights.

In the heart of the world, Brazil sings,
In the heart of Brazil, Salvador de Bahia dances,
In the heart of Salvador my heart sighs and trembles
As a leaf of hevea with indistinct future.

Nights from here are not made to dream,
The bosoms of the women are captured by temporary fabrics,
Fickle pavements light empty steps of men.

This strange salt which parodies lustful flesh,
