Blinded

As I sit here I wonder how
I could have been so blinded.
It's amazing what love will allow,
things I knew but never minded

Without you here by my side
Im able to see all the things
I knew were wrong deep inside
and feel the pain it all brings.

Strength is what Im searching for
as I try not to fall and stumble.
You left me alone and so unsure.
I watch my world start to crumble.

But I know it's going to be okay.
One day this broken heart will heal.
My determination is here to stay.
Soon a brand new me I will reveal

a door closes, and another one opens..
finding the strength inside and the confidence to move on, always an important part of healing..

If only they were easy to find! Luckily I have an amazing son to help that along

Thanks for reading!

no unfortunately they are never really easy to find..too often bad relationships leave us bereft of the self confidence to move on or the willingness to take chances...we've simply been hurt too much..

I'm sure however your son is a great source of strength...or maybe better said a great source of inspiration to find strength and to rebuild self confidence.

That is the terrible truth and you said it so well.  Give yourself time to "mind it" now.  Great job! ebm

Hopefully the breaking up with a mean mistreater isn't made too hard to do. Good luck...

It IS going to be OK, dear Tara! It's so nice that you have come back, I have read a few things from you in the archives and I loved it.

You have said it so well. Only when detachment becomes possible we SEE again. Love truly wears pink glasses.

Love,
Margherita

Thank you all for you nice comments I have not written in a LONG time.  It might not be all that much but it is still nice every now and then!
