as always, I am devasted
by that shade of blue,

something so fragile,
the lilies slippery and wild,
dwell in the Summer's drift of days,

and the one stunning syllable
my mouth craves is coaxed from the cut on my lip,

cut on a hooked color, blue
as a crucifix of shadows gathered hastily
at your feet,in a basket, sealed
upon an ethos of forgiveness,

I smother your whispers
before they reach me
in clutches of clover, ptarmigan and shrike,
barbed at the base of my spine,

hold me down, I pray,
sweet as nightengales burning in their clocktower,
your hands haul the bells of the hours that haunt,

and every morning I am fresh oyster, prised,
and love is this terrible river, screaming
through my body, blue as oblivion. forever.
but slow, burns my desire,

an eternity, this prison,
this flesh, all porcelain,
that could have known a pain less bitter,

there's a tinkling in our tarantella,
as you bathe my soul in oil pastels,
touch the chords of the glass marimba
with charcoal fingertips,

atremor, a darker blue cascade
rushing into a long cry, rising
in tangles of silver and tinsel,
something so fragile,

the lilies now slippery and wild
when I sleep with fists clenched,
and wake upon our crucifix,
inky palms all blue and mericless.

Very good. I begin to understand a little more about your letting the reader find the connections. No matter how abstract, I do believe poetry needs connections to the real.

Love the sky description here, and the skillfully employed synesthesia, too, of course.
