Desert storm clouds form
a door in the sunny draw.
We're headed for rain.

The scenery you evoke unfolds powerfully here.

Love it.

It almost never ever rains in the desert and I have never had a picture in my mind of that scence until now which makes this haiku one of a kind.

I love the image on my mind`s retina of an actual `wall` of rainfall.. inescapable, perhaps.. so prudent to view it as a door, instead of an obstacle..
wonderful haiku

Thanks to all for your kind words.

The demarcation between brilliant sunny surrounds and a dark squall line approaching is greater in some ways in the desert. Impressive-looking clouds, yet in many ways better than a sandstorm.

I feel the power of the storm in your words easy1, and long for it.
