I fill my days with scents
like roasted sunflower seeds,
comforted by turn of events,
the sudden death of weeds.

Smells of just-washed sheets,
fresh-mowed grass, lemonade,
air of where horizon meets
me there casting shade.

I fill my nights with flowers,
glowing candles and hot tea,
content to gaze away the hours
in thought of you and me.

How could I have ever dreamed,
how could I have had a clue
this would be more than it seemed
and my life would be full of you.

Darlin' Dixie, I literally have tears of joy in my eyes for your apparent happiness! This was absolutely heart-touching and beautifully written.
