Good afternoon everybody.

I am a French poet, but there is a translation of one of my texts.
It may contain bad English turn of phrase, so please be lenient.
It is about free poetry, but I don't know if I can post it into the 'Prose' section, I hope it don't make any problem if I post it here so.

— Highbrow mind —

Lowbrow mind,
Lowbrow mind,
Delight of irony, suspicion,
Gossip and assumption.
No one has right to Difference.
Is it not better to have dark skin,
And radiant sunshine
On one's lips,
Than to have in one's brain,
A nest of ants
With its numerous galleries,
Have one's heart so Dark that it is frightening!
Rule of Intolerance
No one has right to Difference
Racism has so many faces...
Racism of classes
Or of races,
Of young people
Towards the old age,
Sex racism...
We search for pretexts
For justify
Our closed minds.
Racism of the illiterates
Facing the intellectuals,
Towards the "ecolos"
Whom we would like to kill
Fool dreamers,
Inveterate backward-looking people,
Racism to animals,
Who bear all without a word...

Lowbrow mind,
Lowbrow mind,
Blind and deaf
To every act of love
Or highbrow mind,
Always higher !
Love raises
And elevates
To another Level
In Earth radiance
And the spheres of light
Where we are all brothers and sisters.

Eole.

I like this, Eole, as it reminds me of some of the other poems I have read on this site. And being reminded of others' poems...is a good thing!

Welcome to Passions!

Please, check your email for a very special greeting!

Hello! Thank you for your warm welcome as well as your special card.
I hope other authors will take over such matters!
