Small Kind of Gecko

I put the little
gecko out today,
even though
I'm sure
that he would have
eatten his share of bugs
on the inside,
but outside
the world is so much bigger,
and inside fails to compete
with the warmth of the sun
during the day,
the coolness of the nights,
the pleasure of the trade winds,
the freshness of the rain
and the endless adventures
available to a small kind of gecko
living his life in paradise.

I found this entry refreshing.  It isn`t often that one can read about geckos.  It must me some kind of pet.

LOL - geckos and skinks aren't that easy to catch... at least without harming them.  Congratulations!

We don't have geckos in my part of the world, though lizards abound. If one makes it into the house, it's usually a toss up as to getting him out the front door before my wife runs out herself. As others have said, this was a light and refreshing read. Enjoy your friend. Peace.
