An alignment of the stars,
similar to that of the great depression,
will bring the nation to it's knees
as ths ship of state flounders wildly
on dark and turbulent seas.
Only a skilled mariner
could navigate this rugged realm
but, alas, as it has been predicted,
there is no captain at the helm.
Mother Nature, bruised and battered,
will also have her say
while bringing about many changes
to the world we know today.

Marchmadness - I'm afraid you're correct in your assessment of what's coming. I believe this oil catastrophope is going to change the weather patterns...

So much is on my mind these days...

there's so much fear, and sadness, and I am too impatient to speak with others a lot about stuff. Like you, I mourn a way of life, but I'm also wondering why we didn't move to keep in step with the inevitable changes.

I sigh along with you.

The past is gone and that's all I know for sure. And I think most of us are weary of the distraction of partisanship, when truly, it's all the same.

Stay well, m'friend. (And in case you were wondering, I've been musing on the cockroach with admiration for their simple efficiency for survival.)

My love to you and yours.

For you, Ida.

Even in the worst of times, I think we need to hold on to hope. Oh. I hope you have "sound".

There's always hope but it won't take long to see how bad it can get. I think by summer's end we will know for sure in which direction we're headed. Sometimes when things are at their worst a true leader steps forth. We haven't had one of those in a long time. Actually, I think congress has learned the ways of the cockroach very well.

Well, let's keep laying eggs and keep to the shadows. *grin*

I'm doing my part--I lay enough literary eggs to open an omelet house.<--that's such a mixed bag of innuendic metaphorical ..shtuff...that I just gave myself the shudders.
