I noticed your fingers were tan
and your eyes didn't mind laughing sometimes
you were taller than the other women
that leaned against morning coffee moments

we could have talked about eros or arrows
or the headlines on the news, like lipstick
applied way too thick to be attractive
but overdone anyway, just to sell more ink

but instead we were quietly professional kinda
nothing much to do but wonder what the other
was thinking they wished they could say
but wouldn't this soon after not really meeting

we would take awhile like numbers in line
acting surprised when we noticed the other
like it was karma or commas between maybes
and we just accidentely happened to be there

at almost the same time every other next time

I am a fan. You remind me of this guy I knew, he was blind, but he would take wire cable and bend 'em into trees.

i'm convinced now after having read so many of your poems that you are from a style standpoint the king of cool and a master of the art of writing poetry...love your stuff!
