Sy

Missing you.

I woke wondering, as I often do,
Who would think of me as I often think of you?
Salty rivulets escape my guarded soul
Remembering how your words would move me.

You left a gift ~ no pretty paper and bows
Just words to ravage.
A life lesson in every word
One to take away, and forever treasure.

So today, like every other day
Sipping hot coffee, I utter a wee sigh for Sy.

Thank you for the remembering and helping us remember.
We have many that are missed,
A loss of words, a touch of emotion gone.

I miss his early words and kind replies. One of my fondest memories is of our Florida visit with Isabel and Sy, Balladeer, Lyra and Dave, Marsha, her daughter, Marge, Titia and Kethry.

Too many losses~~

Thank you Sharon for this reminder of a great poet and friend. How time flies.

Maureen, the memories of our poet gathering are the best memories I treasure. As you said, too many already gone and missed dearly.

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Life is just too darn short.  I miss getting on here in the morning, and there Randy Dragon would be, with his wisdom.

I should have gone to that gathering you had, almost did, but at the last minute I had to cancel.  I often think of Lyra, and Sy, plus all the other great poets that have contributed to this site but are now gone.  Take care everyone.

Mysteria that is a heart touching tribute to Sy, I'm sure that would bring a big

smile to his face. He was before my time
but he evidently was a fine character and poet as well. you wrote it well my dear.

Mysteria,

It is amazing how many lives he touched and how many smiles are left in thoughts of him and his beautiful spirit and words.   A true gift.   I enjoyed reading your poem and remembering the rich moments of morning tea.

I miss having coffee and reading our Sigh, too.

Have you heard from Isabel, and how she is doing?

Sy was such a love and is missed so much. I also miss Marge terribly. We were such dear friends.

Thanks for writing this Sharon.

I haven't heard from Isabel, but I am sure Balladeer would be in touch with her.  I see so many couples that were as close as Sy and Isabel were, that when one passes on, the other is literally "lost."  To have loved like that is really true love.
