Listening to every heart

The Return

He comes again to my bosom
by way of air and familiarity
past all silence, slicing through miles,
sundering the shuddering thought
of distance.

Finally.

I breathe again, knowing
something must be right
in his world; sensing that
his return to this, my nest,
is our miracle.

Finally.

Cpat...you telling me I can't surprise anyone any more? ...thanks, my friend, for your eyes.

DS...sometimes freedom giving is quite out of our hands...even in the most close-knit circumstances, people can be estranged by only a room's distance. But it is all still kewl.

WIHWT!  You write with such heart!  Did I mention how your writing touches me?   It does! It is always heart warming when distance between a loved one is overcome.

With happy hugs,
misce

Reunions, especially of the heart, are always beautiful, Karilea, as are your words!

"The poem is an expression of your whole being at the moment of vision." - Richard Eberhart
You have put your whole being into this poem and breathed beautiful imagery into the moment of this very significant return. Bravo.

Sis..a good love...is knowing who will return...

Lamar, thank you for your eyes...

jwes...the awes have it!

Kat...thank you. I hope you grow to appreciate PiP as much as I have in the last eleven years!

Bastet - to be appreciated with an excerpt or a quote from someone of art is a true gift, indeed. To be aligned with substance can give a hopeful, heart. Thank you!
