On this dark rainy night,
I sit and wonder what will happen.
Will I live long or will I die young.
I need to find something,
But don’t know what, quite yet.
I need a friend at this hour,
But no one will listen
To a stupid fool like myself.
I miss everyone that I once knew.
But they all have changed,
And no one is the same anymore
I am the only one that is the same.
I am the only one that knows how it was
And where it is going to end up.
Life is ever changing,
Always moving.
But it can be controlled.
Everything is a decision
With a yes or no answer.
No one wants to make the wrong one.
So think hard about the ones you make,
And live life like there is no tomorrow.
You never know,
There just might not be one.

Very wise advise.  We have to follow our own gut on most things, as we will always be true to ourselves.

And live life like there is no tomorrow.
You never know,
There just might not be one.

Take your own advice and may the sun shine upon you.

It appears to me upon reading this that your "old friends" have become more foolish, not you. A fine work that I enjoyed reading... in fact, I need to read it again for surely I have missed something.

Living in the past is not the same as living for a future where good values once lost are widely and magnanimously rediscovered.
