Tooth Ache

A daily taste of throbbing pain
Will alter how the world is viewed
It starts with ache that builds to roar
Paints shadows on most brilliant hues
This water color washed with tears
That brim and fall from weary eyes
Is born from pain, erased by fears
Until sensation fades and dies

Funny, you could have replaced the word tooth, with love, in your title, and it would have made just as much sense, if not more.

Well for my weird mind anyway

Sorry about the toothache Allison, I hope your dentist pulls the tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth.

Wonderful write dear friend.

Really original. I never would have thought of writing a poem about a toothache, much less making it "impressionistic." Must have been a great workshop because it's a grat poem.

Yo dear Alison,

I had the last of my rotten teeth pulled when I was abot thirty.  I worn false teeth ever since.  It's the best present I ever gave myself.

Alison, you succeeded perfectly in the challenge. I may try one myself as soon as I  can think of a subject

Well done, Alison.  If based on "reality" I hope you are now pain free.  Got to agree with Richy though.

Oh man, I love you guys.  Bobby, I am not giving up on my teeth yet.  Nope.  Rich, I am so glad that the parallel came through.  I was working for that end.  Helen, yes, this is definitely written from recent experienc.  I have had an infected nerve on a tooth - it's been sheer agonizing hell.  I think that it is conquered now though.  Jaime, I can't chew on that side yet and the pain still comes on at night.  I have moved from Percocet to Tylenol now.  That's a good thing.  Maureen, I hope that you try the assignment soon.  I love working with you in the Workshop.  I counted up how many assignments I have to do to catch up - I'll be working on them.  Bastet, when you live with something that becomes a major part of your life - writing about it is a carthesis.  Writing about it was an indication to me that I can move on.  Yay for that! Belle, Ida, Dixie and Yann - thank you with all my love.

Why do I feel like I just wrote one of those gushing award-accepting speeches?

Ooh Alison, I'm jealous of your meter. It's insanely good. And even though I can't relate, I could still feel the feeling. Good job - Rileigh
