Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2010-06-21 08:00 PM

You leave me here, stranded,
distant, alone, without rescue,
my heart sinks to ocean depths,

Foamy waves of memory splash,
lashing out against stone cliffs,
Thunderous rains of pain pour down,

Cold, wet, hungry, alone,
not one ship in sight do I see,
no light shinning in this darkness,

Your heart light always carried me,
home to love unconditional, dreams,
hopes, love unafraid, protected,

Light your lantern and lead me home.

very nice interplay between the words and the image... the story told, one of waiting and of hope...
very nicely done ma'am.

This is so sad.. it fits the image well.. the pic is very dreamy, it reminds me of a Maxfield Parrish..one of my fave artists

Totally in love with the picture. And the words are equally special.

Hoping the light comes on soon. Passion like this shouldn't be left out in the dark.

The speaker seems abandoned but still holds out an unrealistic hope for salvation.  How sad!  Nice writing here with a terrific picture.
