How come
no matter  how hard you try to hide it
my eyes still
can taste every thought of your words
long after your pen has licked them
hungrily
onto the page?

The tang and savoriness
that you try to suppress
tucked between layers of  cream and caress
still
they fall on my tongue of assessment,
under awareness tight
of concealed confess.

What does one have to do
to melt the sky
so that I can row to you in a canoe
of clouds?

What does one have to do
to burn the ocean
so that I can walk to you on constellations
of starfish?

How many lonely lives do I have to wait
to find the mouth whose lip prints
match mine perfectly,
and whose curve of hips
fit my fingertips
like gloves made of silk
waterfalls?

Maybe it is simply never to be?

Maybe you are afraid, to be happy,
just like me?

Maybe…

we’re cursed with the only secret ever
without words, that is a secret to itself?

Maybe, our love is so strong apart
that we would blind the ears of the universe
were we ever to finally meet?

No,
your skin has never touched softly
on my eyes,
and may never will.

But my heart has seen you,
all of my life.

Last night I dreamt
that we danced on  the ocean
and sank beneath ceilings
of whispers and waves.

Kissed and benumbed
by gooseflesh fluidity
clamoring silence,
sins soon forgave.

We held on each other
this fall from of our birthdom
soft on the sea bed
roof of the earth.

With eyes on each other
lost love could now start
as last breath was shared,
tween lips slight apart.

Dear Richy, this is simply adorable. Go on dreaming, one day your love is bound to be.

Just had this fantastic vision of an endless expansion of clouds while flying home and your poetic expression fits the beauty of it so perfectly.

Wonderful!

Love,
Margherita

I took this picture two days ago through the airplane window. I love it and I hope you enjoy it too.

"so I can walk to you on constellations of starfish".....that's simply brilliant!

"gloves made of silk waterfalls" You truly have a very descriptive talent......I've thought about how fantastic it would be to be water, the ability to touch your woman all over at the same time.

Hey take it easy... people are going to start thinking we're spoken for... :P

Seriously, that's a real nice thought, you better hurry up and write a poem about it before I steal it from you... j/k. With my luck I would touch her so much, she would drown... har... har...help!... har

You are a lovable romantic Richy and
that last stanza was so cute. I loved it
