by morning,
there's an enclave lost in my hair,

a tinge of grenadine, of jasmine,
an entire narrative of ladybirds
loosening their buttons,
falling in with thieves,

say what you want
but this door inside me,
drawn with a stick of chalk,
opens onto a catwalk, a murder,

repeat my name in the mirror. seven times.
and wait to disappear.

if you extract the bones from my ears,
you may build a cupola, a reliquary
where I stumble, am misled
by curvature, by cotton,

at noon, I empty all the rooms
to stop them from reeling, burn
the berber to kill the rot,

something about the shape of my face disquiets you,

my anxiety has a house and a fence,
and a tremulous white doe in the yard,
an entire habitat, teeming,
a plague of starlings.

on Friday,
I'll begin to rip the stitiches
from everything I have ever sewn,
keep them underwing, close-bodied,
in the incorrigible synapse of memory,

moonlight splits the Mahogany dresser open,
and at least two dozen butterflies swarm in air,

give me a window to climb into
or out of, so I can dream of peacocks
and dark fish swimming in my ear,

repeat my name seven times,
and wait to disappear.

there's just nothing left you can say to me.

Some depths to plumb.... and some things unsaid to listen to....
as always Ma'am.... you amaze me with the heart that lies beneath the ribs..

and as there is nothing I can say to do justice to your words or the heart..
I will bit nod....

Sometimes, I am left not wanting to say anything at all after I read a poem.  This is one of those times.  I am just going to step away and soak it up for a bit.

I have a hell of a time keeping up with my enclaves too hunnie.....hate it when that happens, don't you?

I enjoyed the write, takes alot of thought to write the way you do. (Also, I love looking at your sexy picture, gives me alot of thoughts too).
