I find myself liking you.
Someone I know I can't or shouldn't have.
You are hurt and broken too.
As if both your heart and soul are half.

Both wanting to be whole,
Both knowing that alone they can't.
Everyday takes its toll.
Making them shout and rant.

Soon even the rants will die.
Just leaving the emptiness.
There is nothing left to cry.
Everything is just a mess.

Now they will just give up.
There is no longer any hope.
Just the next sunup.
Bringing another day to cope.

Sad and poignant, even if I perhaps only "half believe it." Once you've been down to the one day at a time, whether forced by enemies or not, that feeling won't leave you in this world... Yet there is little place to go except up from there, at least emotionally. 'Nuff said?

A heartfelt write about the (sometimes) hopelessness of love.. if it isn`t returned.. so confusing to the spirit at times. Great write~

We learn even from the ones we cannot have, even if we only learn what pain feels like.
