Carved Ruby my birthstone bleeds
Hearts of tinsel wrapped, this candy sweet
oh sweet Alice~ swallow an essence of violets
as for the theater appropriate they are
and as all the act a stage
we find the script an elocution but of days
wire tied to the round that lies above a point

So lies the crystal dark within the vein
I wash my hands and wash them yet
again
to expose a bit of red still nestled
in the crust of earth and stone
beside a rabbits hole
written as equation
for dark matter yet found

Footlights fade past bow
and rustle of crinoline bustled out with stave
so nothing is revealed except a shape
to appeal as cupid might in innocence still show
shy smile or the turn of cheek blushed red

this crimson day
carved from ruby my birthstone shed
luster left upon a once time dream forget me knots
and grease paint spread to smile
all the while

Alice said
“A Cheshire smile began from nothing and remained
Just long enough to see the face and Valentines of lace
So delicate the want”

These thorned roses sit a bloom atop my bed
And look down their heads held erect
Through lowered lash coquettish in effect
an equal sign
Negated by a greater or less than sum
The world is noted “Act1, Scene 3”
Page nine hundred ninety one

And in a sigh escaped to the silent night
A name is found

“Oh Alice, sweet, sweet Alice bound”

Ruby carved
         I see…   you found

I'm buried in work on my day off... decided to wolf down a poem or two instead of visiting the vending machines for lunch... and found pure ambrosia. *S*

Welcome back, my friend... it is truly a delight to see your name on these blue pages! *S*

Like reading an onion, turning the page takes one not toward the end...but to the center.

I REALLY liked this!
