You Are The Words.

Why does your writing
continue to whisper,
to my eyes?

I feel them in my sleep
as they fall, softly
in colors of tender
and sounds deep,
that only my skin
can taste.

I hold you
in these rainbows of night
so that we don’t
have to be apart,
as my dreams digest
the delicious meals,
that are you.

Brain mists of images
that our sleeping souls
pen together,
with tongues
on the velvet peel,
in the unison
of our flesh.

Loving you,
is exhaling,
and never being able
to catch my breath
again.

As you
are the words to the poems,
I always wanted
to write.
