She was so gorgeous
as she slipped
into the waters.

Stars melting down her
cheeks
from her eyes.

The moonglade
floating on the ripples
kissing her naked skin.

Her dimpled liquescence
firm
and aglow.

I was already there
where she told me
to meet her.

Out in the country
in a warm spring
of mineral water,
exuding
from the ground
in flush and
surges.

As a tree
wrapped its
arms around the wind
and tangoed in place
to their favorite
latin lyric.

Funny how
this hot spring
was shaped
like a big stew pot,
as we had been
talking about
food and cooking
a lot lately.

Sharing each others
daily menus,
discussing what
delicious things
were being put into
each other’s
mouths.

And so it was starting
to make sense now
when she told me
that she wanted us
to finally meet,
so that we could
cook up something
hot
and share it,
together.

I just didn’t know
that we were going
to be cooking,
ourselves?

I started to welcome her,
as she put a finger
to my mouth
to shoosh me.

I looked at her
with my ears
as her eyes said,
no words tonight,
at least not from
a dictionary.

Any oral
communication
this evening
was going to be
from words
not yet written.

A language known
only unto us,
our own dialect
of desire,
my own diction
mixed with the
friction,
of her soft and silent
tongue.

The broth in our
steam kettle
really started to simmer,
as she reached for me
and pulled me in
for a long tender,
mouth hug.

Her lips
plump and juicy,
like cherry tomatoes
as I pulled her
under the broth
with me,
our bodies
twisting and melding
like fresh cut
veggies
in a rolling boil,
the root vegetables
rising to the top,
of this concoction
of our long awaited
consommé.

It was our hidden feelings
for each other
that we’ve yet to admit,
that added just the right
seasoning
and mouth feel.

Her bouquet garni,
emanating free
throughout the
caldo de siete mares,
so spicy and sweet.

This alphabet soup
with some added
punctuation,
that did all our,
talking
on that eve
of lost dreams.

As we ate upon words
from tale and poem
and nourished
each other,
in our soup
of the night.

WOW!  I wanted that to go on and on.  You set the stage the characters, and the scene with perfection.  Bravo!

A rich, delicious poem.. wonderful.. loving the way you string words and images/ideas.. only prob I had was the mental image of people boiling for soup was jarring with the tender/hot desire theme.. but perhaps you meant for that?  =)  I mean no insult or offense, you know that I enjoy your works, my friend!
All best~Amaryllis

Sounds like you're quite the cook, Richy.
